How to Colonize an Asteroid
I built a special power supply for the logic and trigger circuits of my nail shooter, but the basic design is identical to the 5vdc 1 amp supply project described elsewhere in this web. You don't need the transformer, as it can be fed from the main AC power supply, but follow the directions there for the rest of the circuit. All you will need is the printed circuit board - the fuse will be mounted differently and there will be no need for terminals to connect other wires, it will be soldered in to the assembly. Just ignore all of the parts to the left of BR1 on the power supply schematic - the 12 vac from the AC power supply will go directly to the AC input on BR1, but you may want to put a SPST switch on one leg so that you can test the coils without the logic supply being active. I also added a 1 amp fuse just for the logic supply.
