The Accelerator Tube for the nail shooter is constructed from a clear plastic drinking straw, with three hand wound coils. Make sure that you can see through the sides of the drinking straw which you choose. I slid a long piece of dowell into the straw to stiffen it while I wound the coils.
To start winding the coils, wrap a piece of clear plastic tape around the straw with the STICKY SIDE UP so that is if free to slide up and down the drinking straw. Begin winding the coils neatly onto the piece if tape. The adhesive will help to hold the wire in place. The wire you use should be very fine enameled magnet wire, available from your local Radio Shack Store or electronics supplier. DO NOT USE BARE WIRE!!!!!
