There is a direct relationship between the frequency of a signal, (the number of cycles per second), and the physical length of the waveform in space. The higher the frequency, the shorter the wavelength. {R.37.3-12}In the diagram on the right, cover the term for which you wish to solve and you will see the formula for its' calculation. I.E... to solve for the frequency when the wavelength is known, cover the "F" (Frequency - that for which we will solve) and the formula exposed is "C / L". "C" is a constant, which means that it's value is always the same. C = the speed of light in meters per second = 300,000,000 m/s.
Enter the frequency or the wavelength and click "Calculate". The program will solve for the variable which you have left blank.
