The battery described in the following pages is very crude and inefficient, but it can be made from stuff you might have around the house or garage, and it might not cost you anything at all to build one. It serves very well to illustrate the basic principles behind a battery.
WARNING! This project involves the use of tools (hacksaw & tin snips) and materials (sheet steel & copper) which may be dangerous (sharp)! It is advised that you wear gloves when working with these items. Be sure that you have read the blanket disclaimer before proceeding with this project.
