F1 Fuse, 125 vac @ 1 amp
SW1 Switch, SPST
T1 Transformer, 110 vac primary, 6.3vac Secondary
BR1 Bridge Rectifier
C1 Capacitor, 1000 uF @ 16 vdc
C2 Capacitor, .01 uF
IC1 Integrated Voltage Regulator, LM7805
LED1 Light Emitting Diode, Green T1
R1 Resistor, 330 ohms @ 1/4 watt

• Fuse F1 provides overload protection in the unlikely event that you short out the supply. (oops..... :-o )
• Switch SW1 Controls Power to the unit
• Transformer T1 steps down the 110 volt ac line to 6.3 vac (Volts Alternating Current).
• Diode Bridge BR1 converts the ac to rough dc.
• Filter capacitor C1 smoothes out the ripple on the dc line
• Voltage Regulator IC1 regulates the dc voltage to 5vdc.
• Filter capacitor C2 removes any high frequency noise on the regulated dc line.
• LED1 provides an indication that the supply is functioning.
• R1 limits the amount of current which LED1 can draw.
